Joe’s Motorcycle Training offers a safety-focused motorcycle endorsement
class for new and returning riders in Tampa, Lakeland, and Ocala.
Our MSF Basic RiderCourse combines a five-hour online eCourse with two consecutive days of hands-on motorcycle training.
Your class price includes the five-hour online eCourse, training motorcycle, helmet, gloves, eye protection, and all required course materials. You do not need to own a motorcycle or bring your own helmet. Our patient, safety-focused instruction is designed to help you build practical riding skills and real confidence.
After successfully completing the course, you will not need to take an additional motorcycle riding test at the DMV. Allow approximately 48 hours for processing, then visit a Florida driver license office to have the motorcycle endorsement added to your license.

What you MUST Wear/Bring: Come Prepared for Your Riding Days
For your hands-on motorcycle training, please arrive with:
• A long-sleeve shirt or riding jacket
• Full-length, non-flare pants made from denim or another durable material
• Sturdy over-the-ankle boots or high-top tennis shoes; canvas footwear is not accepted
• A valid driver’s license or motorcycle learner’s permit
• A printed copy of your completed five-hour eCourse certificate

The five-hour online eCourse, training, motorcycle, helmet, full-finger gloves, and eye protection are all included in the class price. You do not need to own, rent, or transport a motorcycle to the training range.
You may bring your own riding gear. Personal helmets must be DOT-approved, gloves must be full-finger, and proper eye protection is required.
Motorcycle Training for Beginners
Many students arrive feeling nervous because they have never operated a motorcycle before. That is normal.
Our beginner motorcycle training is structured to help you understand the motorcycle before you are asked to ride it. You will learn how the controls work, how to use the clutch friction zone, how to maintain balance at lower speeds, and how to coordinate the throttle and brakes.
As your control improves, the exercises progress. The goal is not to rush you. The goal is to help you develop a solid foundation to support safer decisions as you begin riding on your own.
Experienced riders who have been away from motorcycling, as well as riders who have been riding without a motorcycle endorsement, will benefit from this course by refreshing essential skills, improving riding habits, and completing the required training to legally add the motorcycle endorsement to their Florida driver’s license.
